Rhino has partnered with France’s acclaimed defence coach Shaun Edwards as they look to further develop their world-leading range of technical rugby training equipment.

The world-renowned defence coach has spent more than a decade training with Rhino’s defence and breakdown range during his time with Wasps, the British & Irish Lions, Wales and now with France, with both Six Nations countries official partners of the Cardiff-based company.

Shaun will be consulting on Rhino’s existing range of contact, defence and breakdown equipment, with a view to improving existing products and developing a bespoke range. He said of the partnership: “I’ve worked with Rhino at the highest level and always been a big fan of the range, but I’ve also got a lot of ideas from my coaching for new products and I’ll be looking to develop those with the brand and hopefully making them reality.” 

Dave Reynish, Rhino’s managing director, said: “We’ve worked with Shaun for many years now through our Wasps, British & Irish Lions, Wales and now France partnerships for some time now, so we’ve already learnt a lot from his feedback. Now, we’ve very excited about how he can not only help us improve the existing range but also develop some new products using his extensive experience.”
